As a ten year old, Nigel Mansell's Grand Prix by DJL Software and Martech Games on the ZX Spectrum was as close to a full-on racing simulator as I'd played at that point. It was fiendishly difficult, not necessarily from the racing point of view but the management of the fuel and temperatures to actually get your Williams Honda to the finish line. I play through a race at San Marino to give you a flavour of the chaos.

Born in 1978, my family had a rubber-keyed Sinclair ZX Spectrum from 1984 onwards for "educational" purposes, which ultimately led to me owning nearly 370 original games which I still have. I also still have that original ZX Speccy, as seen on the wall in the video, along with the follow-up ZX Spectrum 128k+2.
