NINE PRINCES IN AMBER - A (mostly) spoiler-free review
0Next up on my Kindle Paperwhite chopping block is Nine Princes in Amber, the first book of the Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny.
This is a great "first novel in a series" introduction, with a twist, given that it's written in Zelazny's signature first-person narrative, which doesn't always lend itself to epic fantasy. I say "doesn't always", but there are exceptions to that rule, especially as we've gotten into modern times and authors such as Rothfuss.
Light on "epicness" but heavy on the "fun" factor, it's a short read and gets you straight into the action, setting things up for the rest of the books that are to follow.
