Ninja Gaiden II - Fiend Genshin and Elizébet (Mentor using Blade of the Archfiend)
130That slight drop by the pillar turned one of my combos into a charged Y attack.. Those things and the bridge can really screw you over in either of these fights. Your best off just trying to keep him in the middle.
Other than that this was pretty smooth, the end of the Elizébet fight could have been better but hitting her is pretty random at times. You can counter Genshin end of his combos or his dash attack to set up a YYYY combo with the dual swords or Dragon Sword. They aren't as strong as some other weapons but he can't block the counterattack. Otherwise it's actually pretty tough to land anything outside of chip damage with the 360y and on landing y attack.
Elizébet is really random and reminiscent of Alma this time around, you can end up just getting blocked and comboed to death if you try to stun her. Her weird area of effect grab will hit behind her and take out most of your health on blocked flying swallow attacks.. (or just kill you from full health if it isn’t maxed.)
Sometimes you can get a few hits in after her ground combos, with most weapons you’ll need to get good at dodging her dash attack and try to hit her with a combo if you end up next to her. She might dodge it anyways, just keep trying and chip away with whatever you can (360Y and pretty much any aerial Y attack with BoTA works).
You can also kill her with Kusari-gama or Scythe Air combos. This also have a decent chance to stagger her into a followup ground combo since you land next to her. Kusari-gama is a bit stronger if you land all the hits but it’s hard to stun her since it lacks a flying swallow attack. It can still work with other attacks, but you can end up just being interrupted and juggled before you can get to her and she mostly only uses her special moves at range.
If you do stun a boss with the Kusari-gama it has several combos that will take off the majority of their health. XXXYYYY deals incredible damage but really only works if you manage to stun bosses. A few of it’s combos that lead into air followups can be surprisingly effective against enemies that like to block.
