Nintendo to buy rigid OLED display panels from Samsung Display for a new Switch model planned this year, people familiar with the matter say. 7-inch, 720p. Mass production as early as from June. With rigid OLED is cheap and prices have been falling recently due to over-supply. Deal is good for Samsung as it can secure stable buyer.

The Nintendo Switch has been datamined to reveal the NEW Switch Pro features! Codenamed 'Classroom'

SciresM, known creator of the CFW Atmosphere for Nintendo Switch, has revealed possible details of the new revision, popularly known as "Nintendo Switch Pro", thanks to details that Nintendo has left in the firmware of the Switch.

- Code name: "Classroom".

The following is speculation of
@SciresM (twitter handle)
based on data found in firmware.

- Nintendo has been gradually including firmware support for about 2 years.
- Uses the same "Mariko" SoC currently used by Switch Lite and Switchv2.
- It's not just desktop.

- Includes 4K support, it is speculated that this will be thanks to a new Realtek 4K UHD multimedia SoC chip in the dock.
- Current Switch models could NOT take advantage of this new dock to have more power.
- It would have an OLED screen.
- Speculate that there will be games optimized for the new revision, just as there were with DSi or PS4 Pro.
