NINTENDO DIRECT HIGHLIGHTS!

Welcome everyone to another reaction. Here's a clip from my reaction to the 2021 02 17 Nintendo Direct. Right at the start of the Direct before even any words were mentioned we were greeted with a SMASH REVEAL. THE WAIFUS ARE HERE! I wasn't actually sure if this was going to be a smash reveal or some new DLC for Xenoblade 2. Glad to see that it was the former. I was thinking Rex might have been added to the game but it ended up being Pyra. Not what I was expecting but at the same time something you should be expecting. I guess a character from Xenoblade 2 would be something I figured would have been given to us a long time ago. Later on we got several more surprises like Splatoon 3 and Skyward Sword HD! Overall I enjoyed this direct and thought it was fine, although it seems like it's probably the most mixed opinionated. Some people were disappointed while other people were happy about it. Let me know what you all think of it in the comments below!

Nintendo Direct[a] is a series of online presentation or live shows produced by Nintendo, where information regarding the company's content or franchises is presented, such as information about games and consoles.[1] The presentations began in Japan and North America with the first edition on October 21, 2011, before later expanding to Europe, Australia, and South Korea.

Nintendo Co., Ltd.[b] is a Japanese multinational consumer electronics and video game company headquartered in Kyoto. The company was founded in 1889 as Nintendo Karuta[c] by craftsman Fusajiro Yamauchi and originally produced handmade hanafuda playing cards. After venturing into various lines of business during the 1960s and acquiring a legal status as a public company under the current company name, Nintendo distributed its first video game console, the Color TV-Game, in 1977. It gained international recognition with the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985.

Since then, Nintendo has produced some of the most successful consoles in the video game industry, such as the Game Boy, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the Nintendo DS, the Wii, and the Nintendo Switch. It released numerous influential franchises, including Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Splatoon, Star Fox, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo has multiple subsidiaries in Japan and abroad, in addition to business partners such as The Pokémon Company and HAL Laboratory. Both the company and its staff have received numerous awards for their achievements, including Emmy Awards for Technology & Engineering, Game Developers Choice Awards and British Academy Games Awards among others. Nintendo is one of the wealthiest and most valuable companies in the Japanese market.
