The rumour mill or speculation verse has seemingly been sharing the story of Nintendo Direct happening next week on March 26the despite ever growing concerns related to COVID-19. But since it's a mere stream there is certainly a possibility it could happen. As an Indie World Showcase Direct streamed this afternoon.

Also there is the possibility that due to coronavirus concerns this first General Direct gets postponed from weeks to months in the long haul. The virus has already had an impact on Sakurai and the team developing Smash Ultimate. Coming off the heels of E3 being cancelled last week.

Is this next week Direct just a pipe dream at this point?
