Chipworks posted their findings after X-Raying the Nintendo Switch SOC. The chip itself is physically identical to the X1 from Nvidia. Overall the X1 is still the most available and most powerful consumer level chip that Nintendo could have used. I think Nvidia and Nintendo should have been more transparent about the hardware rather than let fans speculate for so long. While some are disappointed, the X1 is still a powerful mobile chip and with the custom APIs could surprise us going forward.
