Walkthrough:
With that serious bit of grinding done, it's time to progress with the story. Head up to the Krile on the castle balcony and you will learn that you need to go find some Dragon Grass. Head outside of the the castle gates where you will be immediately thrown into a fight against an Abductor. Once outside the castle, head to the north to the next town, but be sure to encounter all of the new enemies if you are collecting the complete Beastiary.
Before we enter the next town, be sure to use the Beastmaster's ability, Catch and get a Kornago. You will need it for a hidden item in the next town. The Kornago can be a pain to catch, so try to time your attempt after doing about 900-950 damage. When you have caught your Kornago and are ready, head into the next town.
08:20 - Quelb
Once inside Quel, you will find all of the doors locked except for the house towards the back of town, so head to the gate and then enter that house where you will encounter a familiar face (of sorts). Once you have regained control of your party, upgrade as much of your armor, weapons and spells as you can. There are a couple of hidden things to do around town to collect as well.
First, head to the well in the bottom of the town and "talk" to it. A wizard will pop out of the well and then offer to trade you a Kornago Gourd in exchange for 10,000 gil and the Kornago that you caught outside. This Gourd allows a Beastmaster to use the Catch command on enemies that are under 50% HP as opposed to 12.5%; very helpful if you like catching monsters.
Next, speak with the 3 werewolves that are moving in a circle in the top right of town to pick up the Requiem song, which is very strong and useful later on. Finally, head out through the north gate to continue onward with the story.
