In this video tutorial I show you where to find your friend code and register your friends' friend codes on your Nintendo Switch system. You have to have your Nintendo Network ID connected to your Switch User to obtain your Friend Code. From the HOME MENU, click on your profile in the upper left corner. Go to PROFILE. There you will see your friend code. To ADD A FRIEND you simply type in your friend's friend code in the other menu under PROFILE. Hope this helps.
