Nioh - William Adams vs. Yuki-Onna (Letty Whiterock with a smaller hitbox)
7Touhou-jokes aside, this is supposed to be Lady No, wife of the famed Oda Nobunaga, who died in the same battle he did.
The Yuki-Onna is found at the end of the 2nd main mission from the 3rd region. Apparently, she is among the harder bosses of this game. I can't personally confirm it, as I've barely spoiled myself about Nioh. This was only my second attempt at her, but I wouldn't brag about her being a chump at all. The video will confirm that!
The Yuki-Onna uses many ice attacks. What definitely saved me was wearing two Water Omamori charms as accessories. It brought me up to a water resistence (ice is after all just frozen water) of 36. The question is if bringing Kato to the fight was sensible, since I didn't get enough charge to using him as a living weapon. Perhaps you're better of using the water dragon which gives you additional resistance?
Lady No's footstomp is definitely the safest attack to punish. Just get some distance as she lifts her leg, wait for the attack to happen, run in and take a swing. The icicles of her aimed barrage get very numerous towards the fights end, easily the most sudden killer here. What may be almost equally problematic is her sudden dash. I fell for it several times here. I think the only tell you'll get is that you can see her swap the frost scythe for a dagger.
All in all, a very cool boss. Notice that she doesn't just disappear after the fight. You learn a little more about her before she finds peace, but it's a very long cutscene that follows. I wanted this video to focus on the action. You can see it by playing the game yourself :). Seriously, get Nioh if you have a PS4. It's absolutely amazing.
