No Digimon Bridge Fixing, No Invisible Bridge, No Boulder Clearing (Digimon World Challenge)
Welcome to my challenge for Digimon World.
In this challenge I'm not allowed to fix the Digimon Bridge, nor am I allowed to clear the Mt Panorama Boulders or have Yuramon tell me about the Great Canyon invisible bridge. This means that I won't be able to travel from the Digimon Bridge to the Tropical Jungle, or vice versa. I also won't be able to travel from the Native Forest to Mt Panorama, or vice versa. Due to a glitch, I will be able to travel from the Great Canyon Entrance to the Great Canyon. However, the reverse journey won't be possible. These restrictions will affect me when it comes to my ability to travel and explore. The restrictions will also affect me when it comes to recruitments.
The inability to fix the Digimon Bridge will mean not being able to recruit Coelamon or Ninjamon. The Digimon Bridge needs to be repaired in order for Coelamon to join the City when speaking to him at the Coela Point. The Digimon Bridge also needs to be repaired in order for Ninjamon to challenge you at the Digimon Bridge, as well as needing to have recruited a Digimon who works at the Secret Item Shop.
The inability to clear the Mt Panorama Boulders will mean not being able to recruit Meramon, Drimogemon or Leomon. In order to recruit Meramon you have to defeat him at the Lava Cave, but the cutscene before the battle results in the boulders getting cleared. This will mean not being able to battle Meramon, and therefore not being able to recruit him. You have to recruit Meramon in order to be able to recruit Drimogemon or Leomon, and therefore neither of these Digimon will be recruitable due to Meramon not being recruitable.
The inability to have Yuramon tell me about the invisible bridge will mean that Yuramon also won't be able to tell me about the bandits at the Great Canyon, thus creating no opportunity for me to encounter Ogremon at the Great Canyon. This will mean not being able to recruit Shellmon or Whamon, as well as Ogremon. Not being able to recruit Shellmon will mean not being able to recruit Vademon or SkullGreymon. Not being able to recruit Whamon will mean not being able to recruit Andromon, Giromon, Numemon, MetalMamemon or Nanimon.
This will set me back by a total of 33 Prosperity Points, meaning that the most that I will be able to finish with is 67. You need to have a minimum of 50 Prosperity Points in order for Mt Infinity to become available to you, and for you to be able to challenge Etemon. This has the combined total of 16 Prosperity Points; Etemon, Airdramon, Devimon, MetalGreymon, MegaDramon and Digitamamon. Therefore, the highest number of Prosperity Points that can be achieved without Etemon or Mt Infinity is 51. Therefore, I'm going to need to be close to perfection when it comes to all of the recruitable Digimon in order to reach 50 Prosperity Points and make Mt Infinity available.
I started with Agumon and made it up to 12 Prosperity Points, recruiting Agumon, Betamon, Centarumon, Kunemon, Palmon, Penguinmon, Sukamon, Biyomon, Elecmon and Unimon. I also took the first step towards recruiting Frigimon. I Digivolved to Numemon and recruited Bakemon, Monochromon and Frigimon, bringing myself up to 18 Prosperity Points. I Digivolved to Monzaemon and spoke to the Robot Digimon in Toy Town so that the door leading towards WaruMonzaemon became unlocked. I then waited for Monzaemon to fade away because I didn't want to make any further progress with Monzaemon; I thought that using Monzaemon might've been seen as a cheap way of getting an ultimate Digimon and a large stat boost. Therefore, I used Monzaemon to make WaruMonzaemon available and then faded away.
I chose the green egg, starting with Botamon and Digivolving to Koromon. I recruited Vegiemon, Seadramon, Kuwagamon and Mojyamon, bringing myself up to 26 Prosperity Points. I then Digivovled to Agumon and then Greymon. With Greymon, I saw to the rest of the challenge and went from 26 Prosperity Points to 67 Prosperity Points, recruiting Greymon, Kabuterimon, Tyrannomon, Birdramon, Angemon, Kokatorimon, Gabumon, Patamon, Monzaemon, Mamemon, Piximon, Garurumon, Etemon, Airdramon, Devimon, MetalGreymon, MegaDramon and Digitamamon. I had to go about the game in very specific ways in order to succeed with this challenge, but I'm pleased to say that the challenge ended successfully.
