So you've pre-purchased No Man's Sky, or are interested in knowing what to do when you get started?

Getting Started Concept:

Since Big Bang will not be populated for everyone to explore, making the right choice in the beginning will determine how fast you may progress. Consider upgrades, planet types, combat, and discovered areas

Side note, you do not have to take any of this into
consideration, rather this is what most explorers do when setting out into oblivion.

• Ship type

o Explorer
 Designed for exploration, with better hyper drives and stealth

• Upgrades

o Having a better hyper drive will reduce cost on fuel and help benefit towards other upgrade

• Planets Types
o Planets that are difficult to explore may not reap the best reward at first.

o Come back whenever you're upgrades assist in exploration

• Combat
o If using the explorer ship, go in stealth mode to prevent an unwanted combat

• Discovered areas
o If you're wanting to discover as much as possible, consider exploring as much as possible on a planet. However, if you feel that discoveries are not happening as often, move on

o The rule of thumb is, the closer you get to the center of a galaxy, the better the discover, as well as the more dangerous
