The Neopteran is a half-finished ambitious build and a tribute to George Hull. Initially intended to be a badass indium farm, the disheartening absence of base rendering improvement in the "next gen" patch brought an end to this project.


I had to clone it high up on a lifeless biome instead and give up on the farm as well as a few more lightning and door effects. The Neopteran is a tad over 2800 items.


Despite being built in game and modless, a few PC tricks have been used to autopower the base, move it to another planet, move the base computer, and add a freighter room.


List of problematic items:
- Triangle floors rendering as small unless close.
- Small square floors not rendering unless close.
- Anything that needs power to function not working unless close and despite powered.

- Light floors rendering as dead wooden square floors unless very close.
- Emergency lights only rendering when very close.
- The wire cloacking unit might not work.

- large prefab rooms taking a toll on overall base rendering.
- The first moon pool disappears at a distance and never reloads.
- Same with the metal door over the cockpit.

- Same for many eventual decorative items, the pannels type in particular.
