A No Man's Sky frame rate test running on PS4. Footage used is from version 1.03 of the game.
Update: Version 1.04 seems to perform comparably to version 1.03. Also, it seems to be the case that the extreme frame rate issues when flying over the surface of a planet only occur on planets with water.

Note that the severe performance issues in the clips starting at 4:04 and 4:33 are rare. They were only encountered on one of the 13 planets that were explored for this test.

There seems to be a very rare bug where the ground can disappear which can also cause the frame rate to drop dramatically. This resolved itself very quickly though, and it only happened once during 5 hours of gameplay.

Pixel counts indicate that the Playstation 4 version of No Man's Sky runs at a native resolution of 1920x1080.
