EVERYWHERE - MindsEye Teaser 2023

The game's conception dates back to 2016, and it was developed on Amazon Lumberyard by a team of three former Rockstar North employees, including Leslie Benzies, Matthew Smith, and Colin Entwistle. By January 2017, the team had expanded to around thirty members. Originally called Royal Circus Games, the company was renamed Build a Rocket Boy in October 2018. With development studios in Edinburgh, Budapest, and Los Angeles, the game aims to provide a more unrestricted gaming experience compared to others and takes inspiration from real life, according to Benzies. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team worked from home.

The studio shifted development to the Unreal Engine in November 2020. The game's teaser trailer was released at Gamescom 2022 in August 2022, and it is set to be launched in 2023.
