No Rest for the Living used to have no impression on me... then the community midi pack was made, and these tracks do so much for every map that I see them all in a new light. Decino's Homesick makes this my favorite opening map from any wad. The track gives the map a calming sadness. I interpret it as the name of both the map and track suggests, as missing the time before demons wiped out humanity. I'm probably reading too far into it but that's what I get. The map itself I've always found to be a fun challenge. I enjoy the layout and the sudden trap at the end as the whole map repopulates. I don't understand why the lost soul/chainsaw room exists, or why the non-secret lift with 4 armor bonuses exists, but I'll take it as mapping quirks.
