One of the great things about the extended color and luminosity range is that you don't need "realistic" visuals for it to look good - I already demonstrated that in Tölva and here is a stylized pixel graphics example proving this point.

Personally, I fully support the recent resurgence of games in this stylistics, but I believe they truly start to shine with added HDR (pun not fully intended). It would be wonderful if DOSBox had the support added. There is a possibility neural networks could help with that too.
