On one hand, it's bad I can't easily recall the live weather / daylight conditions after loading a replay, but thanks to that a moody - more "HDR'esque" recording came about.

Yes, it desperately needs exposure compensation and the TrackIR movement was not saved, also a strange zooming-out bug appeared out of nowhere (while missing some of the zooming in I did), but so far this looks promising.
Please, YouTube, don't take weeks to add the HDR streams this time around (this definitely looks much better in extended range).

By the way, composing the cameras after the replay is taken is still a pain - drops down to 10 fps or so. Well, at least the result plays back smoothly enough (need to restart the sim before that just in case).
