I was doing all the heroins' optional events/quests and happened to be with Liz when I did this. I wanted to show how you can not only hit triangle to see the enemy's level, name, and health, but you can for other players as well.

And if you move your cursor over an enemy that's fighting someone or a party, you can see that person's/party's name(s) and health/ Also their buffs will affect you and vice versa. You can watch them attack, use skills, use sword skills, and even help them out if you want. You can even just sit there and load them with all kinds of stat buffs to help them.

I was hoping they would let me demonstrate this by them attacking the bees, but then they suddenly turned around and went after the 3 boss griffons behind me, which were actually MY targets and the whole reason I was waiting there in the first place. Liz needed to do a Hollow mission involving beasts like that.

Well they bit off more than they could chew so I had to rush in to save them, before knowing they weren't actually real players and were instead just AI hollows.

But in Aincrad you can do this for actual players, both NPCs in the game and online with friends. You can watch battles they're having and help them out with buffs. It's pretty interactive.
