The constellation consists of a total of 11 satellites, which will be positioned in medium Earth orbit (MEO) at an altitude of approximately 8,000 kilometers. Each O3b mPOWER satellite will have a massive throughput capacity of up to 10 terabits per second (Tbps), making it one of the highest-capacity satellite networks in the world. The O3b mPOWER satellites will use a combination of frequency bands, including Ka-band and Q/V-band, to deliver high-speed, low-latency connectivity to customers around the world. The system is designed to be flexible and scalable, with the ability to dynamically allocate capacity to meet changing customer demands.
