OBS Test - Recording Frontier Footage With Voiceovers
Thanks to Shadowplay fucking up yet again after the piece of shit program forced another update on me that I didn't want, I've now had to try using a new program. While the crackling audio in Shadowplay when recording from my microphone has now been fixed, yet again the in-game audio is now barely audible... YES, AGAIN! This time nothing I have tried has been able to fix it and my searching for answers has revealed that it is the unwelcome return YET AGAIN of a bug in Shadowplay due to it using Windows' own audio settings, but fucking it up. So here I am testing out OBS again... A program I have tried using before and wasn't keen on it due to it being very user unfriendly for newcomers. I've persevered and I think I have it working ok in terms of recording in-game audio and voiceovers at ok levels (as far as I can tell, there is no option for the webcam so you'll have to make doing without my ugly mug in the corner... i'm sure you're gutted about that)... let me know if you think these settings ok or not. I tested this while playing the Amiga game Frontier... a game that I will be reviewing in the retro review playlist sometime soon-ish.
