Part 37: Cyrus’s Tale Finale

Redemption. Revenge. Resolve. Triumph. Rampage. Hope. The next tale that reaches its end is Cyrus Albright. It’s a tale of knowledge.
Cyrus’ tale takes him to Duskbarrow where he’s on the search to find the copy of From the Far Reaches of Hell. He ends up seeing Lucia who ends up into the Ruins of Eld. After investigating, he enters inside and finds more than just Lucia. He finds books that have either been stolen or hidden away. This not only intrigues Cyrus but also has him wondering if something was up. He confronts Lucia and Cyrus realizes that Lucia is a lost cause. Using a perfected blood crystal, she turns into a monster.
This is where the boss fight kicks in. It’s a three phase fight.
Phase 1 has it with a shield of 30 and weak to physical weapons such as swords, daggers, lances, axes and bows. Having moves that deal multiple hits are needed here. After you break it, the next phase begins. It’ll have a shield of 15 and is weak to magic attacks. Plus it will deal magic at you. This makes it a tough encounter. Having Aelfric’s blessing onto Cyrus with 2-hit magic spells can give him four strikes. Use that to your advantage. Finally Phase 3 and that is when it gets real unstable. Use your strongest attacks and magic and you will manage.
After it’s defeated, Lucia is reduced to nothing. But the chapter isn’t over yet. Cyrus looks through the books found here and the mural he saw earlier. He comes with a conclusion that everything he saw here was all a warning… a warning in regards to Galdera and why he should not be released or else the world would face a calamity. Galdera was mentioned in Ophilia’s fourth chapter and the Gate of Finis is mentioned in Olberic’s. Cyrus knows he’s going to spend a lot of time researching it so he hopes that future generations can have a way to stop it.
Only one tale remains and we’ll tackle Tressa’s final chapter in Part 38.
