If you wonder what’s going on, simple. I pre-ordered Starlink: Battle for Atlas and it took quite a while for it to show up since UPS loves to take their sweet time with it. It’s going to be the same with Soul Calibur VI for sure.
So yes, welcome to my playthrough of Starlink: Battle for Atlas. I got my hands on the Switch version so this means I will be playing through it with Fox McCloud. Yep it’s exclusive to this version. However if you want to get your hands on more weapons and ships, you’ll need to either buy some of the toys-to-life figurines that cost $25 each or get your hands on the game’s DLC and getting them all is $60. No joke.
I can understand Ubisoft needing money but come on this is ridiculous. Ubisoft is just nickel and diming people and doing this is no exception. Of course you don’t have to buy the DLC or waste money on getting extra ships, pilots and weapons but yeah, this makes your experience VERY limited. Think of your ships as extra lives. The more ships you have, the more chances you get to survive and fight. Not to mention having more weapons allows you to adapt to any and all situation. So yeah, I may consider getting the DLC for the game and/or the toys but finances are a pain in the butt… unless you guys want to help. Just kidding.
Anyway I’ll be playing through this game with Fox McCloud from start to finish because Star Fox is in this game and this pretty much classifies it as a Star Fox game. Plus having additional firepower on your Arwing is worth it. That’s a reason why I got the $80 edition of the game because it came with the toy Arwing. The only thing missing would be for me to get the other stuff so that way I can kick butt in the game and hopefully survive.
