Oculus Rift DK2 Asymmetric Cloud VR & head tracking+screen mirroring Steam In Home Streaming
One of the first things I tried with DK2, was using a low powered laptop to VR game over the cloud, using Steam In Home Streaming. Zeiss Head Tracking lets us use head tracking over the cloud .. with the Rift..without (check it JC) perceptible latency and so we can use a lowly tablet to play VR Battlefield 4 with head tracking over the cloud and also mirror the output of the DK2 all without a physical connection to the host gaming rig.. now imagine that tablet is a pocket PC ..or built into the Rift..we never need be chained to a gaming rig for VR again.. in fact just have a server farm streaming the games.. wait .. Part of my Rift DK2 review .. going up soon @thegameveda, promise...just a couple more things to test /figure out..
