You may have played with Crescent Bay .. you maybe geared up with GearVR .. but (JC) have you experienced the presence of Cyber Troopers Virtual On .. which is stunning even on a now post Oculus Connect lowly & obsolete Oculus Rift DK2 ?

This video is actually an OBS capture of a virtual game about virtual cyber troopers played using a virtual reality head set & streamed to a virtual desktop on a laptop using Splashtop ...another method I use for getting round the DK2 mirroring issue .. the actual frame rate of the game is fine when you play! It took a couple of hours for the muscle memory to return for me in this classic , note how the pilot in the intro is wearing a VR helmet ? This is just a 2D game with very low res, but it will floor you on the Rift .. which makes me think JC maybe we don't need 8K per eye panels or quad GPUs to feel or create presence .. maybe we just need great games.. like VOOT! I am finding so many things to do with the Rift .. I keep pushing my review back ..but it is a learning experience ..link to follow soon @ thegameveda
