Using Virtual Desktop to play Shenmue using the Oculus Rift DK2, this is a little of the opening .. to take you further would spoil the adventure.. one of the finest games in existence, if you have never been to Japan .. you have been if you play Shenmue.. Virtual Desktop lets us play in 2D and allows us to use the positional tracking of DK2 ( all those spots before your eyes in the video) to take a look around Shenmue in a way I never could before.. It is simply astonishing the level of detail that Yu Suzuki and AM2 imbued this game with.. now with the Rift , Virtual Desktop and positional tracking I can check out details even the designers never meant us to .. like leaning into see the veins on Ryos hand, or checking out the scales on the carp in that pond.. this is presence right Abrash? Now imagine what Suzuki san could do with Shenmue 3 and VR! full Rift DK2 review brewing.. including all the tricks I have picked up.. over the last couple of months using it
