►►NOTE: The Nintendo Switch update patch (V1.0 released on May 7, 2019) for Odallus: The Dark Call addresses the control scheme issue discussed in the review. The default button configuration uses the B button for jump. The patch also includes additional options like turning off CRT screen filter, music, and sound effects.

►Odallus: The Dark Call is a 2D action platformer that resembles old-school 2D action platformers from the NES. The game features multiple stages with secret exits, upgrades, an aesthetic similar to Konami's Castlevania and Capcom's Ghosts 'n Goblins, and a retro display replicating old-fashioned tube TV screens.
