This is it. The game that defines my entire YouTube channel. The reason many of you right now are here watching this. I got this for my birthday the year it came out. I would've never thought that it would impact my life as much as it has right now. So finally, it's time for me to revisit The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons for the Game Boy Color.

Oracle of Seasons & Ages were released here in North America May 14th, 2001. Man, the commercial for this game had me so hyped. Following the popular craze of multiple versions of games that Pokemon had made standard, Nintendo decided to team with Capcom to make multiple Zelda games for the Game Boy Color. Originally three were going to be made to correspond with the Wisdom, Power & Courage. They eventually scrapped the courage game, with Power becoming Seasons and Wisdom becoming Ages.

Regardless of what could've been, these are some solid Zelda titles. I've done full projects of both utilizing the game link feature, and if you ever have the chance to play through both I would highly recommend it. It has a great story regardless of which game you start on and the dungeons will make you think for sure.

Now on to what this video is specifically about, Oracle of Seasons. This is my favourite of the two games, not just because I grew up with this one but the emphasis on action as opposed to puzzle solving keeps me more hooked. Not to say there isn't some tough puzzles in the game, but the action here is the best I've seen in a 2D Zelda game. The graphics are Game Boy standard, with the colour being brighter if you play it on the GBA. Interesting to note.
