Old Skies (Unity) Free Retro 3D CGI Point and Click Adventure Game AdventureJam 2019 Wadjet Eye
Another game from the 2019 Adventure jam. But Old Skies is not that interesting gamewise for me. The story it tells is well presented but the reason for that is the most interesting thing about the game. It was made by Wadjet Eye's Dave Gilbert under a pseudonym for the Adventure Jam 2019 and is the first and probably only Wadjet Eye game with 3D Graphics. Dave Gilberts Talk at Adventure X 2019 explains this in more detail and why Technobabylon 2 in 3D is not happening any time soon... ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gnY99-3b0k )
It is basically because making a 3D game is very ressource intensive when you don't want to depend on bought assetts and also unity is a beast to handle, so the next Wadjet Eye Game will be a 2D Point and Click made with AGS again, he says in the talk. Also all the best to James Dearden from here...
Technobabylon in 3D would be pretty cool though...!!!
There is also a funny out of the world glitch in the game, I recorded this after the main game, @ 12:00 go check it out :)
