(OLD) Sly 3 Review
2,679Well...this is it. The last in this series of revisits to the original Sly trilogy. As well as the final Sly review on the show until the movie ever does come out or if Sly 5 ever gets released.
Sly 2 Band of Thieves was a huge hit with praise from all the major game review outlets and with almost two million copies sold. Sucker Punch was ready to end the trilogy with a bang by going all out with the gameplay and bringing the story to a conclusion….stop. Sly 3 came out in 2005 and in the previous year Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter had ended their trilogies and in this year we got Jak X Combat Racing and the half spin off half sequel Ratchet Deadlocked. When I was a kid, Sly 3 was the last game in the trilogy I played and it was by far my favorite because of the fun multiplayer mainly, but I also have a ton of nostalgia for the single player since I got stumped on many occasions and coming up with the solution was incredibly satisfying. Over time though, Sly 3 became my least favorite for story reasons and the overabundance of random nonsense, I even declared to be a weak game. But once my for lack of a better word...distaste for Sly 4 settled in, Sly 3 went up in my eyes but I still didn't think it was perfect. So how do I feel now? Watch and find out!
