"Old" Video : First Time Driving 911 GT3RS in Nurburgring - Assoluto Racing + Review in Description
This was recorded on April 11.
Below are the script for the "Porsche 2.11.0 Review" I wrote for the car.
GT3 RS
Do I have to review this? Really?
(Waldorf grass rallying video inserted to make this part remotely interesting)
I guess so. Out of principle.
Looks:
Interior looks identical to the GT2 RS, except for the dials, and severe iron deficiency.
The red straps on the door remains the same though.
(Zoom on the dashboard with no stopwatch)
I noticed that both have no concept of time.
A lot of real GT2 RS and GT3 RS photos of their interior have this "clock" in the middle of the dash.
Maybe one might think the lack of the timer is because the speed in which they travel through the Ring warps the time and space continuum, making the premise of timing the thing practically useless.
But really, I think it's a license issue because it's probably not a standard option for the car.
They'd have to buy the rights for the laptimer as well.
Drives:
It drives alright. It is bloody quick even in unmodified form.
Pleasant just like a GT2 RS but I personally feel GT3 slides around just a tiny bit more. In other words, GT2RS understeers more I think.
More 4 wheel sliding. Maybe some of you might feel different.
I said sliding, but it feels like you are not meant to drift this thing.
Absolutely no hint of sliding caused by weight transfer.
It will reluctantly let you drift, but only just.
Where is it?
Surprisingly, nowhere.
This is a game, so it doesn't mean much unless you're a manic collector. Like me.
Having what is essentially a GT2 RS that has 200hp less but has the same S+ tag will only mean one thing:
Getting your arse beat by your older sister GT2 every time you meet her in the random match thanks to the stupid alphabet based matching system.
Better stay in S class lobby where you belong... But there's the 800+ hp R35 GTR you have to deal with.
I should test how they compare against each other, but I have JDM Realistic setup I'm working on. Somebody will do a comparison, surely.
Improvements?
There is one, and it's the GT2 RS.
