Kia ora and welcome to my Old World game review! Old World is a 4x strategy game that released on Epic Games store on July 1, 2021. It merges mechanics from Crusader Kings 3 and Sid Meier's Civilization to create a unique strategy game set in the old world - think Babylon, Rome, Persia and so on. The game offers dynastic and family building gameplay alongside the classic 4x strategy mechanics of city building, conquest, diplomacy and scientific rigor! Build a mighty, legitimate family dynasty!
Created by the lead developer of Civ 4 and Off World Trading Company and created by @mohawkgames8276 Mohawk Games Studio, Old World is a fun game that will leave you looking for just one more turn, although at the time of release I don't think it quite rivals the greats. Releasing at a $40USD price point it is one of the more accessible new games though, and I do recommend you check it out!
