Oldschool Half Life 1 Uplink Demo Revisited
1In this old video I found on my hard drive today, I played through the Half Life Uplink demo as a means of revisiting memory lane. This was the first ever FPS game I played on our own computer as a kid. I played it so many times that I actually lost interest in trying the full game.
When I did eventually get the first game (Half Life 1), I spent most of my time playing Counter Strike or Half Life Deathmatch, so I never got to the campaign. I finished the game many years later, but this demo will always be a very nice memory to look back on.
The demo came on a demo CD provided by a local gaming news magazine, New Age Gaming.
This video is my first time returning to it after 20 years.

Half-Life: Uplink is a demo version of Valve L.L.C.'s 1998 first-person shooter computer game Half-Life, released on February 12, 1999. Uplink features many of the common enemies, characters, and weapons from the full game, but unlike the first Half-Life demo and the Half-Life 2 demo, the location and scenario in this demonstration do not appear in Half-Life.
