Omen X by HP Gaming PC Build | Intel Skylake i7, GTX 1080 SLI, Liquid-cooled, Upgradeable
The Omen X by HP caught our eye at EGX this year. The HP rep was all-to excited to give us the Omen by HP sales pitch, and for three grand it sounds like HP's Omen X is a whole lot of PC.
Designed as a beastly gaming PC from the ground up, the Omen X combines GeForce GTX 1080 or Radeon R9 Fury in SLI with "insane" power and liquid cooling. AAA games at their highest settings should be a breeze, so say HP. The Omen X is designed to be easily upgradable, despite the custom case so this awesome looking gaming PC can satisfy any future performance needs.
The Omen X by HP is apparently angled for easy access. The slanted case was designed with airflow and upgradability in mind, using industry standard components (no proprietary parts!) and that multi chambered interior. The Omen X by HP uses liquid cooling and the three chamber design keeps overheating down by sequestering GPU, hard drives, and power supply into their own thermal zones. The angled case is full of vents sucking air through the build meaning the Omen X should stay cool all of the time.
With up to dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 or dual AMD Radeon R9 Fury X, The Omen X by HP is VR ready and will crush out 4K content at high FPS, so we were told.
Prices for the Omen X by HP start at around £1,700, and the top-spec flagship PC weighs in at £3,000. For that you're getting a 4GHz Skylake i7, 32GB of DDR4-2133 RAM, two GTX 1080s and all the USB3 headers, optical drives and storage you'd expect out of a three-grand gaming PC.
If you want to look super flashy with an enormous light-up cube PC in your room, the Omen X by HP might be the choice for you. You can but all the components yourself and put the machine together (The HP rep said the case alone was an option to purchase) at a much lower cost than is being asked here, but this has got to be one of the coolest-looking custom PC builds I've seen.
