Omi's Video Game Vault: Breath of Fire IV (PSN)
2Released for the Playstation 1 in 2000. Developed and published by Capcom. Following up from it's predecessor,there are a few gameplay tweaks from BoF3. There's now a combo system,that when it proc's,causes Spells/Skills to be used together. This sometimes makes new attacks entirely,which is pretty cool. Party members can also now be swapped out from the back row during battle,though no more battle formations. Dragon transformations also work a lot differently than they did in 3. Speaking of,the Dragon designs in this game are pretty interesting,I think being based on Chinese dragons. Fans of the series tend to either love or hate this game,mainly because of the massive amount of minigames in it. I find the story to be better than BoF3's though. From the opening,played through to the first Fou-Lu segment,then stopped after regaining control of Ryu and Nina.
