Released for the Playstation 1 in 2001. Developed by TOSE and published by Square. Compilation of Final Fantasy 4 and Chrono Trigger. FF4 is what introduced the Active Time Battle (ATB) system, and was originally titled Final Fantasy II on the SNES since it was the 2nd FF title that we got over here. The translation for this version is much closer to the original Japanese version on the SNES,so it's MUCH better. However, this version also suffers from bad load times and really bad sprite flickering. The port of Chrono Trigger seems mostly untouched, but it did add the neat FMV cutscenes. The load times for it are awful as well though. There are better ports to be found I'm afraid. Played through to reaching Mist Village in FF4 with Kain and Cecil, and reaching Guardia Castle in 600 A.D. in CT with Crono.
