Eine Stunde Gameplay von "Steep", einem Open World-Wintersport-Spiel entwickelt und veröffentlicht von Ubisoft im Jahre 2016 für Playstation 4, Xbox One und Windows PC, hier gezeigt in der Windows-PC Version.
Das Spiel bietet eine offene Gebirgswelt in welcher der Spieler an zahlreichen Aktivitäten mit variierendem Schwierigkeitsgrad teilnehmen oder einfach nur die Landschaft genießend durch die Bergwelt skifahren, snowboarden, paragliden und mehr tun kann. Das Spiel ist dabei vollkommen offen gestaltet und lässt den Spieler nach einer kurzen Tutorialphase im Endeffekt nach Herzenlust tun und lassen, was auch immer er oder sie möchte.
Von Kritikern vor allem dafür gescholten, dass es dem Spiel an Fokus und Steuerung des Spielers fehle ebenso wie für den Umstand, dass man zum Spielen des Spieles eine permanente Online-Verbindung benötigt war es bei Spielern beliebt genug, dass es das Spiel auf rund 10 Millionen Spieler brachte. Ebenfalls traurige mediale Aufmerksamkeit erlangte das Spiel durch den tragischen Unfalltod der Skisportlerin Matilda Rapaport, die während des Drehens von Werbeaufnahmen für das Spiel tödlich verunglückte.

The game offers the player open mountain ranges in which he or she can partake in many activities with varying difficulty or just enjoy the landscape while skiing, snowboarding or paragliding down the mountains. The game is set up in a way where the player is free to do whatever he or she likes after a short tutotial phase.
Critics especially reprimanded the game for a lack of direction and vision and the circumstance that you have to be permanently online to play it, but for the players it was interesting and popular enough that it could reach a player count of roundabout 10 million players. It also gathered sad and unwanted media attention due to the tragic dead of ski sport star Matilda Rapaport, who died in a tragic accident while shooting coverage for the games marketing.
