One Shot Bosses with the Saw Bug - Final Fantasy Legend (Game Boy) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
In Final Fantasy Legend for the Nintendo Game Boy, there's an item called the Saw which is a very powerful weapon. It causes instant death, and is VERY reliable against bosses, but it wasn't supposed to work that way.
By the way this game is also known as SaGa, and I am playing it on the Collection of SaGa for the Nintendo Switch.
So anyway this thing is basically a chainsaw, and apparently the formula for it is supposed to work in such a way that if the attacker's Strength is greater than the target's Defense, the Saw will have a high chance to instantly kill that enemy. However, due to a programming error, the formula was accidentally reversed. So, any target whose Defense is higher than the attacker's Strength is susceptible to the Saw, and so this weapon can instantly defeat all sorts of bosses in this game (including the final boss).
And that's really all there is to it. It's just a broken item that you can totally abuse during your next playthrough of this game! This item is so busted that speedrunners have popularized a "sawless" category of speedruns for Final Fantasy Legend.
