Online calibration with SUMO for network-wide traffic and emission monitoring - Case ITS Huainan
To improve traffic operation efficiency, to alleviate traffic congestions, reduce accidents and improve the public transport to promote low carbon traffic and decrease pollution levels, City Huainan, China, has been establishing his ITS and implementing the respective infrastructure since three years. The SUMO-based tool "dsp" for online calibration is enhanced and works as a part of the corn elements in Huainan's ITS. Real sensor data and processed FCD are corrected, aggregated and fused with 5-min interval, and used as input for online traffic simulation and calibration. Together with the processed FCD and other online sensor data sources the simulated traffic and emission results are illustrated on the KeepMoving portal for online monitoring city-wide traffic and emission states.
