Open Arena - RA jumps on Aerowalk
10Open Arena is pretty much 1:1 to Quake 3 in physics, only difference in Aerowalk particularly is it's design and shape. Also, who can resist those sexy models? We both know they're sexier than Q3 models (kappa).
Compared to CPM/QL and Q3 (I think) version of aerowalk, there's more stair ledges next to the 25 bubbles, which allows me to do that odd slide trick. I'm not sure if it's overbounce or just some kind of step down thingy. If you can't see it check out in slowmo how the speed units jumps a hundred. Checked out in QL and I don't think it's possible there. Rocket jumps at the end are possible in QL though and presumably Q3 as well. Lastly, it could be a placebo but I could swear the RA platform felt more further away than CPM/QL version of the map. It's not really that much harder though, just strafe harder.
Other than the stair slide and rocket jump, this video doesn't cover anything that I haven't covered in other videos. I just did it because it was easy and quick. And now OA community got their own RA video as well.
