OpenBOR Tips - CPU Partner Menu (Portable version)
Hello friends!
Due to many requests, I created a portable version of the SORX Partner Menu to easily install in any OpenBOR game. The video shows a basic example of how you can apply it using the BOR mod, but it can have some differences depending on how your game is developed.
This feature uses many different script events. You can change positions/appearance in both updated/ondraw events, and change the partner's A.I. on the "thinkscript" event. The other files contain some necessary tasks for the script functionality and I recommend making changes with caution.
I hope it can be useful. If the community likes the idea, I can create more tutorials based on each SORX script. There's many custom features that may be useful, like custom hi-score, exporting data to external files, custom select screen and others.
Some explanations about buttons:
- You can configure any button to use the Partner Menu, in this video I defined to use the "screenshot"
- You can configure any button to use the "Call" command, in this video I defined to use the "attack4"
- All button configurations are in the "keyall.c" file
