OpenTX Pt 4: Making your radio talk to you, and creating/using custom voice samples
Hello and welcome to the 4th part in the series about how to use your OpenTX radio. This time we're looking at how to get your radio to talk to you - we mostly do this so when we flick a switch wearing goggles we get that nice confirmation that we hit the switch we thought we did! Also, I'll talk about how you can create your own samples, or perhaps put samples you already have into the correct format
I used Audacity to edit my samples in this video. This is a free cross-platform package which you can find here https://www.audacityteam.org/
A suggestion to make text-to-speech voice is via TTSAutomate which is a free Windows package you can pick up here https://www.ttsautomate.com/index.html (if anyone knows of a similar Mac compatible package, please let me know and I'll add it here as well)
I decided to make a series on OpenTX after some feedback from people saying they found OpenTX difficult to deal with - especially if they'd come from another type of radio. I do also get a lot of questions about how certain things are done, so why not make a bunch of tutorials that explain it all. I have a bunch more planned, but if there's something specific you'd like to see and have me cover, then please pop it in a comment down below and I'll do my best to include it.
