Operating System Minimum requirements, are they realistic? Windows 10 | Ubuntu

So in this video, I am running both Windows 10 and Ubuntu in virtual machines with 1 core and 2GB RAM each, closely matching Windows 10 minimum system requirements (with a faster CPU though). Can you really make use of a desktop machine these days with such low specs? I believe Ubuntu has the more realistic requirements.

Linux distributions, in general, run leaner than Windows so Windows 10 should have higher system requirements for a good experience.
