VCPMC_CS Does Not Own Contra Music:

VCPMC_CS files false copyright claims on the music in the Contra video game series, and you can dispute them and win. I have done this many times. I post a lot of Contra gameplay (64 videos as of this posting) so I get hit with VCPMC_CS's false copyright claims a lot: http://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYUwJ3dlBCsX9St9FpH38am7yQR_dfPCz

VCPMC_CS does not own the music and therefore does not have a legitimate claim to the copyright. So, why do they claim they do? Your guess is as good as mine. Anyone can claim they own content, and if the creator does not dispute the claim then the copyright claimant wins revenue. Feels like stealing to me. But, I do not own the music either! Do I own the gameplay? The video? The revenue? Who knows.

What makes it hard for creators and easy for VCPMC_CS and their likes, is that YouTube disempowers its creators with disputing false copyright claims. They focus on empowering copyright holders instead. False copyright claimants abuse this empowerment. Three strikes equals taking your channel down, so many gamers do not fight back.
