11OPERATION DARK PANTHER - Delta Force 2003
Mission 03 - ***ALERT ALERT ALERT***
At 0543 Zulu time, a 160th Blackhawk pilot and his crew were shot down over enemy territory during a reconnaissance mission. Current operations are delayed. Standby for an emergency CSAR mission.
1. Locate the crash site
2. Recover the pilot and any surviving crew members
Colombian drug trafficking organization Ejército Revolucionario de Columbia translated the Revolutionary Army of Columbia (RAC). RAC is interested in converting Columbia into a communist state. However, we suspect their real motive is to allow the traffickers to operate freely and gain from tremendous financial profits. RAC is armed with various small arms, RPGs, may have some vehicles with mounted weapons. RAC is known to use cargo helicopters and light aircraft to transport drugs out of the country. Regardless of their true motives, RAC has taken two American hostages which is why we are being called in country.
*. Vice President Greg Premier is a 55 year old American businessman with the Líneas Aéreas Suramericanas (LAS).
*. Dr. Vickie Storm is a 35 year old American was researching native Spider Monkeys when her group made contact with a RAC camp and was captured.
*. Juan De La Cruz is a 23 year old Colombian researchers assistant who was helping Dr. Storm. Although he is not American, the local government would appreciate it if we can rescue him should we stumble across his location.
Red and Blue squadrons will be inserted by boat onto the island "Isla de Providencía" off the western coast of Columbia where RAC rebels reside. Your uniforms, gear, and weapons have been smuggled in by agency contacts. The activity has been monitoring radio chatter and have some initial SIGINT for us.

SUBJECT: After-Action-Report concerning Operation Dark Panther, Mission 02
Colombian national Juan De La Cruz was killed during the hostage rescue attempt. The Colombian President Álvaro Uribe is disappointed by this news; however, the government realizes that hostage rescues are high risk and many factors can cause the death of the captive. The close proximity of hostiles to the hostage during CQB raid combined with low light and smoke caused confusion. The Colombian police will take credit for the raid and will advise the Juan was killed by cartel members during the rescue.
In any case, President Uribe is very pleased with Deltas ability to disrupt cartel trafficking operations and with the unexpected capture of HVT Alejandro Diaz. Diaz was in charge of narco operations at the harbor and has been a problem for Columbia for seven years. Diaz is responsible for ordering several murders of locals including the harbor master when he would not cooperate.
DEA and "The Activity" are interrogating Diaz now and hopefully we can develop Intel on the location of Dr. Storm and Greg Premier. SECRET
