FIRST: Yes I know the video quality is bad. Like I say in the beginning I wanted to try to use the recording software I used for Cataclysm on this to see how it works - result is terribly when the camera is moved.

At any rate, shouldn't matter much because this was not so much about the game than just what I was talking about since its another opinion segment.

The first topic I talk about is a question I thought of that Early Access games might become a problem. Currently I love a lot of games in Early Access but I recently wondered whether it might become problematic. Meaning what if a game in alpha gets a ton of buys and becomes hugely successful in it's state, causing the game designers to call it quits and leave it as it is? I'm not sure if it's happened yet, but leave an example in the comments if it has.(I bring up that maybe this happened to Minecraft, as I swore in beta there was promises of skill systems which never happened)

Which lead into the next topic of broken promises by games. How many games have you heard in their early days promises of it being the most epic thing ever then it comes out rather poor. Duke Nukem Forever comes to mind. I personally bring up Star Trek Legacy because I remember being promised I could pit Kirk versus Picard, but it ended up being you could do no such thing.

Finally this lead to something I know a lot of you will probably disagree with me on. I really dislike the AAA games that have become linear, story driven pieces. Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, even Halo 4. Its nice they want to work on story, but it was sacrificed for choices and freedom. Honestly I think its an excuse to not have to work on coding better gameplay. Of course I'm not saying story isn't good, I'm a writer myself. However I'm saying the Last of Us could have been an incredible movie, it didn't need a game.

And no, I'm not going to use this recording software again.
