Any oddities in this video are probably due to editing. I tried to edit out unnecessary stuff while maintaining some semblance of consistency.

So, indeed it is possible to do this without debug. I'm pretty happy I found a way to do it. I was messing around in debug, and I realized that if I teleport somewhere in the middle of the rock and the ground, lower than your usual standing position, then the rock will launch up higher than if you just duck below it. Using that information, and the knowledge that a save point will still save on the frame or so that you cease touching ground, allowing you to set a save point in mid air. So, I used the rock to clip through the floor, and to also set a save point at the same time. If you know how save points usually look on ground, you'll notice that this one is visibly inside of the floor.

There's also a glitch I use that causes the rock not to interact with you, and it actually also causes it to have almost no friction with the ground. Enemies can still touch it though. Either way, I had to use that to do the save anywhere trick inside of it, because if I used a soul link, it would just rekindle instead of setting another one down. The way it works, is that you have Ori interacting with the rock in some way while it disappears, due to entering another loading zone. You can do it with Bash, (except not on this rock) or you can do it by grabbing it. This carries over, even if you die, and it doesn't go back to normal (as far as I know) unless you interact with it again, whether by Bash or just grabbing it.
