Minecraft has published Bedrock Edition Beta 1.16.220.50, our latest look at the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs Update!


This beta introduces Mountain biome generation with five possible sub-biomes: Mountain Meadow, Mountain Grove, Snowy Slopes, Snow Capped Peaks and Lofty Peaks! These are height dependent, and now the world height has been increased to 320 blocks, mountains can generate above Y=256!
You will also find new ore textures, changes to ore generation, goats spawning among the mountain peaks.



In this video, I explore these features in Creative mode and Minecraft RTX before going into Survival Minecraft to climb a mountain with day one gear!
