Finding Goats & Glow Squid in Survival! ▫ Minecraft 1.17 Snapshot 21w13a ▫ Caves & Cliffs Update
3,489Minecraft has published Snapshot 21w13a, the latest Java Edition snapshot for the 1.17 Caves & Cliffs Update!
This update adds Goats, Glow Squid, and Axolotls naturally spawning in the world. Goats can be found in Mountain biomes, although new mountain generation has not been implemented yet. Axolotls and Glow Squid can be found spawning in underground water sources, but they may make their way to the surface!
There are also new technical additions, like an invisible light block for creative builders to use. There are tweaks to make huge underground caverns more common, increase iron and diamond ore generation, adjust Mineshaft architecture, and allow for dripstone to spawn in normal caves. We also get a bunch of changes to Powder Snow.
In this video, I explore these features in Survival Minecraft before going into Creative mode to showcase more of what this snapshot has to offer.
