Addressing the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of GCMMF, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that our government has enabled a sustained focus on water security & consevation. He added that we have facilitated the reach of the Narmada river to all in Gujarat. We have also created more than 60,000 Amrit Sarovars to enable conservation of drinking water, he said. He added that there has been an increased emphasis on micro-irrigation facilities for small farmers.
